We have three shades — Light, Medium, and Deep. Light works on fair to light skin tones, Medium on light-medium to medium, and Deep on medium-deep to deep. If you're between shades, go lighter — it's easier to build coverage than to lighten. When in doubt, order Medium first. It's the most versatile shade we make.

We'll send you a different shade, free. Just message us with your order number and tell us which shade you'd like instead. You don't need to return the first one — keep it, gift it, or use it for blending. We want you wearing the right color, not stuck with the wrong one.

Yes — and it works well. If you're between Light and Medium, blend a small amount of each on your skin before it sets. The formula mixes evenly and the result looks natural. This is also useful for different areas of your body that vary in tone.

Not once it's fully set. Give it 10 minutes after application — that's when it bonds to the skin. After that, it's transfer-resistant against fabric, furniture, and other skin. We've tested it in white pants, on car seats, and through full days of activity. If you skip the set time and immediately pull on tight clothing, you may get some transfer at the edges. The 10 minutes matters.

Most customers get 2–3 days from a single application under normal conditions. Exposure to water, heavy sweating, or exfoliating will shorten that. A light touch-up — one pump blended over any faded areas — refreshes it in under a minute. Full removal and reapplication is typically needed every 2–3 days.

It holds up to brief water exposure — a swim, a shower, light rain — but extended time in chlorinated or saltwater will break it down faster. For a pool day or beach day, plan to touch up or reapply afterward. Think of it like sunscreen: water-resistant, not waterproof.

Light to moderate sweating won't move it once it's set. Heavy, prolonged sweating — like a long outdoor run in heat — can break it down at the edges over time. Most everyday activities, including the gym, are fine. If you're doing something intense outdoors in summer, plan for a touch-up.

Both work. Fingers are faster and give a natural, skin-like finish — most customers prefer them. The Pro Brush (included in the Most Popular and Best Value bundles) gives more precise coverage for smaller areas like a specific scar or vein, and blends edges more seamlessly. If coverage is the goal, fingers are great. If precision matters, use the brush.

Less than you think. Start with one pump for both legs — you can always add more. The formula is buildable, so a thin first layer blended well covers more than a thick layer applied unevenly. Most customers use half a pump per leg once they get the hang of it. One tube lasts most customers 4–6 weeks of daily use.

Wait until your moisturizer has fully absorbed before applying Belavi — about 5 minutes. Applying over wet or tacky lotion can prevent it from bonding properly to the skin and shorten wear time. Dry skin is fine. Moisturized-but-absorbed skin is fine. Wet or greasy skin is not.

Soap and water in the shower removes it completely. An exfoliating scrub speeds up the process if you want a clean slate before reapplying. No special remover needed. The same properties that make it transfer-resistant on skin mean it needs a bit of friction to come off — a washcloth works better than just water alone.

Yes. Belavi is 100% cruelty-free. We do not test on animals at any stage of production, and we do not work with suppliers who do. We're also working toward full vegan certification — the current formula contains no animal-derived ingredients, and formal certification is in progress.

The formula contains Retinol, which some dermatologists recommend avoiding during pregnancy as a precaution. While the amount in our formula is low and applied to the skin rather than ingested, we recommend checking with your doctor before using any retinol-containing product during pregnancy or while breastfeeding.
